Black Out
On Friday I woke up and thought this day couldn’t go wrong. My first girl cousin was just born. Her name is Liliana. First I rode my bike to basketball camp. Today was the competition day. I won all three competitions. They were knockout, free throws, and hot shot. After camp I was supposed ride my bike to the pool with a good friend of mind. We stayed at the pool for three hours. I rode my bike home just in the nick of time.
The wind was blowing 70 miles per hour, I’m not kidding. Every tree was swaying. My mom had to go get my sisters from their friend’s house. Once they got back it started thunder storming. There was a loud BANG! Suddenly the power went out. My sisters and I bolted down the stairs towards the basement. We stayed in the basement for 30 minutes.
For the next three days our family had no power. There were so many huge trees down that they blocked off many streets. We had nothing to do for the three days so we went to the movies twice. We saw Karate Kid and Toy Story. Finally at midnight on Monday the power came back on. It woke everybody up, however we were still glad to get our power back.

wow, I didn't know you were out of power for 3 days! Was it hot there? Sounds like fun to go see movies though! Alek has seen both of those, but Ben hasn't seen either. Keep up the great blogging!

ReplyDeleteWe had an adventure Friday night, didn't we? We played cards in the dark and went to bed late. The next morning, we still didn't have power so Lucas, Ashley, Lauren and Nonny were "forced" to go to a restaurant for breakfast. We ate blueberry pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, buttermilk pancakes and crepes. It was great! Next time our power goes out, I hope you will be with Papa and me again!
